A struggling writer finds herself at the center of the story she is telling when she is brutally attacked by a notorious cult leader and mass murderer, a man who has inexplicable control over his followers. The movie starts strong and then the intrigue starts to build. I kept waiting for the momentum to build, but the director/writer had other things in mind. I thought maybe it was planned as a slow burner. But it turned out to be too slow and boring. We’ve all been looking at our watches, which is slower…the movie or the watch. The film dies with weakness, leaving you completely unsatiated. The weakness is in the story. It could have been a truly unique film. What a wasted opportunity. The film does not live up to the expectations created by the trailer. The interest was to know about the cult. And that was never delivered, except for one sentence. Skip the movie.
